To generate a list of all active features on a SharePoint 2010 Site Collection:

  • Launch SharePoint 2010 Management Shell and type in the following:
 Get-SPFeature -Site http://SharePoint2010/sites/HR
  • Replace the site URL with your actual site collection URL.

To generate a list of all active features on a SharePoint 2010 web application

  • Launch SharePoint 2010 Management Shell and type in the following:
 Get-SPFeature -WebApplication http://SharePoint2010
  • Replace the web application URL with your actual web application URL.

To determine if a specific featue is activated on a SharePoint 2010 site collection:

  • Launch SharePoint 2010 Management Shell and type in the following:
 Get-SPFeature -identity Reporting -Site http://SharePoint2010/sites/HR
  • Replace “Reporting” with the feature you are searching for and replace the site URL with your actual site collection URL.
